Alex Chambers is a CeMAP-qualified Senior Private Client Adviser with extensive experience arranging residential, international, and specialist property finance. He rejoined Clifton Private Finance in 2023, having previously spent two years with the company as part of a mortgage-advice career that has included roles at two other UK brokerages.

Alex advises clients on residential property purchases and remortgages, including straightforward applications and cases requiring a more specialist assessment. A significant part of his work involves international clients, including UK expatriates, people returning to the UK, and foreign nationals purchasing or refinancing property in the UK.

His experience of international mortgage applications enables him to identify lenders that can consider overseas residency, foreign-currency income, an imminent return to UK employment, and applicants without a conventional UK credit profile. He works with clients to anticipate the additional information lenders may require and present the application as clearly as possible.

Alex also advises on secured loans for residential and buy-to-let properties. These facilities can allow eligible property owners to raise capital without replacing their existing first mortgage, with common purposes including property renovation and consolidating existing borrowing.

He supports clients from the initial assessment through to completion, coordinating with lenders and other professional parties while ensuring applicants remain informed throughout the process. Alex places particular importance on explaining lender requirements clearly, especially where an application involves international income, residency, or documentation.

In his personal life, Alex is married with two children, aged 7 and 3, as well as a red fox labrador who joins him on regular hikes. He is a CrossFit enthusiast and has recently taken up Hyrox, competing in events around the UK.
